Abstract

THE ABILITY OF FIBERS SUCH AS NYLON, COIR, AND JUTE TO REINFORCE PLAIN CONCRETE AND TO INCREASE ITS IMPACT AND SHATTER RESISTANCE HAS BEEN INVESTIGATED. THE RESULTS INDICATE THAT ALL THE FIBERS INVESTIGATED IMPROVE THE RESISTANCE OF CONCRETE TO IMPACT IN VARYING DEGREES.
