Abstract
This paper presents a filter optimization technique that directly optimizes the poles and zeros of the scattering matrix to match those of a given transfer function. The proposed technique provides a high computational efficiency, a low sensitivity to the initial parameter choice, and a high degree of universality. The poles and zeros are computed via Model Order Reduction (MORe) from a state-space form, which is obtained with the help of the Finite Integration Technique (FIT).
