To reveal the pattern and cause of error in Whole Number subtraction operation in the 3 graders of Elementary school, the author employed qualitative approach with action research design that was collaborative in nature. This research was taken place in the 3 grade of Public Elementary School 2 of Panjer, Kebumen Sub District. The subject of research consisted of 40 (forty) 3 graders of Elementary School. The objective of research was to find error pattern and cause in Whole Number counting operation in the 3 graders of Elementary School. 本研究的目的是找出小学三年级学生在整数运算中的错误模式及原因。为了揭示小学三年级学生整数减法运算的错误模式和原因,作者采用了定性的方法和协作性质的行动研究设计。本研究在科布门街道潘杰尔公立小学二年级进行。研究对象为40名小学三年级学生。从研究结果可以发现:小学三年级学生整数减法运算的错误模式包括:(a)读写数字,(b)书写数字符号,(c)减法概念,(d)一、十、百、千数与一数相减,(e)算法不完备,(f)随机误差,(g)位值,(h)基本事实,(i)大数与小数相减,(j) 0 a = 0的错误形式,(k) a < b时a b = 0的错误形式,(l)忘记减去它后面的数字
