Parental support and learning motivation play an important role in the student learning process. This study aims to analyze parental support for the learning motivation of elementary school students. The type of research used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were parents and 9th grade students. Collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that all parents provided support for students' learning motivation. Support is manifested in the form of emotional support, appreciation, instrumental and informative. However, instrumental support such as accompanying children when studying and meeting learning needs has not been maximized. Parents only take advantage of learning facilities from schools. In addition, economic limitations are the cause of not meeting children's learning needs. Then information support such as providing direction to children when experiencing difficulties in learning. This is because parents do not understand the subject matter and are busy working. Parents are the first and foremost educators in helping develop children's potential. Therefore, maximum efforts are needed so that children are motivated to learn.
