Abstract

Wireless sensor networks can provide low cost solution to verity of real world problems. Sensors are low cost tiny devices with limited storage, computational capability and power. They can be deployed in large scale for performing military, civilian and environmental surveillance tasks. The focus of this paper is a specialized architecture of wireless sensor networks targeted to disaster mitigation and have developed a new fault tolerant routing application for disaster monitoring and mitigation.
