Abstract

With the rise in life expectancy globally and technological advances, it has become necessary to create age-friendly environments to develop new healthcare products for the elderly. This paper proposes a system for continuous health monitoring. This system is created to assist caregivers in maintaining greater control over their patients' health and communication with their families. It utilizes a medical wristband connected to a website that enables real-time viewing of all the data provided by the bracelet's sensors (body temperature, heart rate, medication intake, and abnormal shaking) to assess the proposal's efficiency and viability. Caregivers can use this data to decide their patient's health status. The study revealed that users agreed that the system is simple to learn and use, implying that the suggested system has the potential to improve adult healthcare quality.
