The proposed design consists of a two element printed F-shaped Planar Monopole Antenna (PMA) MIMO antenna integrated with a two elements slot antenna. These slots are presented on ground plane and acts as an isolator as well as radiator. The slot antenna fed by 50Ω microstrip line which is printed on back side of the slots. The F-shaped antenna is resonating at centre frequency 2.495 GHz of WLAN whereas slot antenna operates at centre frequency 2.175 GHz of UMTS band. The overall size of proposed MIMO antenna is 50 × 110 × 1.56 mm3. The minimum isolation between Ant-1 & Ant-2 and Ant-3 & Ant-4 are −15dB and −14dB, respectively. The slots on the ground not only improve the bandwidth at WLAN but also creating additional resonance at 2.175 GHz that further reduces the mutual coupling between Ant-1 and Ant-2.
