Abstract

It is characterized by a high cardiovascular and liver-related mortality and expected to soon become the leading cause for liver transplantation. This concise review summarizes recent progress in the clinical management of patients with diabetes mellitus and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and evaluates strategies to manage diabetes mellitus in terms of their effectiveness towards this epidemic liver disease.
