Abstract

In this paper, a short and efficient technique for small-signal design of a 2.6 GHz microstrip oscillator using HXTR4101 bipolar transistor is introduced. The technique consists mainly of two steps. The first step is to optimize the lengths and widths of microstrip stubs at the emitter and base of the transistor to get maximum reflection coefficient at the output of the non-oscillating circuit comprising the transistor and the microstrip stubs.
