As is well known, direct vector control requires accurate information about rotor flux. To provide such information, the authors propose a new estimation algorithm that combines the recursive prediction error method-RPEM-with a linear Kalman filter. The RPEM algorithm makes the rotor resistance estimation and calculates the gains of the Kalman filter which makes the rotor flux estimation. Abstract
