Abstract

Al-Sharki Governorate is considered one of the important governorates in the production of vegetable crops, as the total area of ​​vegetables in Sharkia governorate reached about 154,295thousand feddans in 2017, which is divided into winter vegetable crops, which reached a total area of ​​about 83,,300thousand feddans, or about 54%  of the total area of ​​vegetables in the Sharkia governorate. The total area of ​​summer green vegetables, which amounted to about 66, 766thousand feddans, which represents about 43,3%  of the total area of ​​vegetables in the governorate, while the total area of ​​the Nile vegetables is about 4, 229thousand feddans and represents about 2,7%  of the total area of ​​the governorate of the green area.
