Abstract

In the context of building new power system for China, it is crucial to explore the demand response potential of industrial customers in depth. In this paper, we will analyze the demand response characteristics of industrial loads and summarize the industrial process modeling approaches, as well as the demand response potential assessment. The key role of distributed energy resource in industrial demand response is introduced. Next, it discusses the key technologies required for establishing a flexible and efficient market model and supporting the accesses of numerous distributed industrial users. Additionally, the practices and progresses of industrial demand response in China are summarized. Finally, several suggestions are provided for the construction of industrial demand response mechanisms in China under the current situation.
