Results and Discussion: ASCORSAN, in the way it was conceived several decades ago, would experience difficulties after the hypothetical privatization of CORSAN. CORSAN is an asset in Rio Grande do Sul. Conclusions: CORSAN is a profitable company for its majority partner, the state government of Rio Grande do Sul.
