Abstract

In this paper, a new semi-active suspension control strategy is proposed for the Peugeot 308 RCZ vehicle. The aim of this study is to automate transition between the two modes of suspension based on nonlinear damping laws and using a variable damper. By minimizing a quadratic gap between a control target and the control actuation force issued from each mode, a decision strategy is defined and a suspension mode is selected, so that the variable damper can achieve it by controlling the actuation force.
