The modern software market provides application programmers a diverse selection of tools for program development. It is necessary to choose the right software envelope in which the software product will be created when developing complex science-intensive software, which is connected in a large number of mathematical calculations and functioning in engineering CAD systems. The article is devoted to the problems of software selection strategy for the development of structures’ engineering analysis.
