Abstract

Absence of a concrete definition of smart grid leads to the variations in definitions from person to person, organi-zation to organization. Shockingly this variation in definition is still there even in same country among different agencies. Then the question arises why this is like that, why don’t we have some particular set of definition and characteristics that define Smart Grid concretely. This paper tries to answer this question by going through the different perspective of different countries, different governments and standard setting organizations.
