The closed-loop system was tested through extensive simulation experiments and exhibited good transient and steady-state behaviour. Abstract

Obtaining high performance in the operation of AC/DC PWM power converters is based on sophisticated circuits and control strategies. The paper presents an efficient, robust and easy to implement fuzzy-logic controller for a PWM AC/DC power converter with high power factor. This type of converter exhibits strong nonlinear behaviour and requires complex gating patterns, difficult to be analytically derived.
