Before processed and sold, corn has to be dewatered for storage. Corncob storage is the primary form of corn storage, supplemented by grain storage. The big porosity of corncob storage is favorable for natural ventilation and dewatering. At present, there is a variety of granary types promoted and used in our country, and such granaries are designed and fabricated in the light of experience of the predecessors, lacking theoretical discussion and experimental research. Through experiments, the paper studies the in-store drying of rectangle granaries of different ventilation widths, and establishes the grain monitoring software/hardware system.
