Abstract

Ashim Mitra was a senior faculty member in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Missouri—Kansas City (UMKC). An expert on treatment of eye diseases, Mitra was a star, attracting substantial funding from the National Institutes of Health, state and nonprofit grants, and industrial funding.
