Abstract

A multichannel far-infrared (FIR) scattering system has been installed on the TEXT device utilizing both heterodyne and homodyne detection techniques. The system has allowed the power spectra of microturbulence to be measured on a single tokamak discharge. The results confirm many of the characteristics observed in a number of previous experiments [1,2,3]. However, significant new results are presented for a variety of plasma conditions, thereby expanding our knowledge of transport phenomena in fusion plasmas.
