Abstract
This paper describes the solution of the key problems happened in the design process of ferrite magnetically tuned bandpass filter in millimeter wave band. Through combining a PIN switch, a double-balance mixer and a ferrite tuned bandpass filter together, a millimeter-wave front-end (the SNTX, switched nickel-zinc-ferrite tuned filter/mixer) with typical 100 dB LO-to-RF isolation and typical 3-dB bandwidth of 200 MHz, is realized.
