The transfer of ownership rights on villages in the Ruza district of Moscow province belonging to private persons in the XVI – XVIII centuries

Abstract

This article presents the results of the study investigated the circumstances of the transfer of ownership rights to privately owned villages located in the XVI – XVIII centuries on the territory of Ruza district, Moscow province. These circumstances were identified, classified and systematized, after which the trends of their changes that occurred during the period under consideration were determined. It is shown that during the XVI – XVIII centuries 68% of the settlements and land plots owned by private individuals remained in the possession of the families that owned them at the beginning of the analyzed period, in 8% of cases, they were transferred for free of charge, and in 24% of cases, this property was involved in business circulation
