Abstract
We propose a methodology for developing simulations in the interactive mode. Rather than use an iconic model for doing so, we show how the use of systems theory representation enhances the interaction. This not only facilitates debugging, but is of fundamental assistance in the model development itself. Although recent advances in the realistic portrayal of systems has made great advances, the systems representation has been neglected in considering interaction. Our hope is that our observations will lead to more research in this area.
