Abstract
The traditional distribution network has gradually been replaced by the active distribution network (ADN) with active control and management methods. In the previous studies on ADN, the influence of demand response (DR) on the operation status of power equipment was rarely considered. This paper studies the influence of DR on transformer life. Firstly, based on the IEEE-33 nodes example, the load curve of the ADN transformer node is established, and the load is subdivided into two types: rigid load and flexible load. Then, the active distribution network regulation model of flexible load and adjustable load is established in order to simulate the adjustment effect of DR on the load curve. Finally, the thermal aging model and the percentage of loss of life (LOL%) are used to calculate the life loss of the transformer before and after DR. The validity and practicability of the method are verified by a case study.
