Abstract

ABSTRACT Multiliteracy is one of the central civic skills that should be focused on in the domain of 21st century education. In this case study, our goal was to design and test a pedagogical model for phenomenon-based learning of multiliteracy, and to find out how multiliteracy could be comprehensively supported in the context of upper secondary school. The data consisted of a questionnaire for students, their written reports, and teacher interviews. Based on the findings, critical factors for the successful implementing of phenomenon-based learning of multiliteracy were found out, and the pedagogical phenomenon-based learning of multiliteracy (PLM) model was developed.
