Abstract
Topical issues of solid and liquid radioactive waste management in the divisions of radionuclide diagnostics and radionuclide therapy of domestic medical organizations are considered. The compliance of
the established practice of handling with the relevant requirements of the Rospotrebnadzor regulatory
documents and the recommendations of the ICRP and the IAEA was considered. The presence of a
number of provisions is shown that are not scientifically substantiated and do not correspond to international recommendations and long-term practice of Russian and world nuclear medicine. A number
of proposals have been developed for the introduction of appropriate changes in the developed normative documents intended for practical use after the “regulatory guillotine".
