Abstract

An improved coarse-grained molecular dynamics model of magnetosensitive polymersome is presented. The modification allows facile constructing of the polymersome templates to be used in the simulations aimed at detailed description of the field-induced magnetodeformational behavior of these soft matter objects. The model is applied to study the magnetomechanical and structural responses of a spheroidal polymersome in magnetic field directed along and across the major axes of the spheroid. The results obtained reveal, in particular, a notable swelling effect caused by a uniform magnetic field.
