Operation and Application of an Open Resonator for Fast Automated Wideband Measurement Throughout the Frequency Interval 8-12 GHz

Abstract

A computer controlled large open resonator is operated over the band with 8-12 GHz. The design, control and performance of the resonator is described. Examples of measurements of extinction cross section are given for several cases where the scattering behaviour varies with frequency and time.
