Numerical Analysis of Resistivity Variation of Horizontal Multi-layer Earth and Its Application in Earthquake Prediction

Abstract

Analyzing the stratum resistivity variation is one of the basic methods to predict earthquake. In this paper, a method for estimating the resistivity variation of horizontal multi-layer earth from the test data by Wenner's method is presented. The partial derivatives of the earth apparent resistivities with respect to the earth parameters, which are improper integrals with Bessel's function, are efficiently calculated by complex image method
