Abstract

A low-profile dual-band shared-aperture antenna system is presented I this paper. Artificial magnetic conductor formed by square printed elements is used in order to lower the profile of the low frequency antenna. AMC-surface acts as a reflector for a high frequency eight-element antenna array and is placed on a quarter wavelength distance from high frequency antenna. The mentioned antenna system characteristics, acquired by full-wave simulation, are presented in this paper.
