Summary of Stratigraphy in the Mineral Range, Beaver and Millard Counties, Utah

Abstract

Many persons are presently interested in the geology of the Mineral Range because lands having potential for geothermal resources are nearby. This paper has been prepared to make available unpublished stratigraphic data dealing directly with the Mineral Range, and also to apply current stratigraphic nomenclature from nearby areas to the Mineral Range. It is apparent from the following text that problems still exist with stratigraphy of the Mineral Range and additional field work should be done.
