Abstract
This paper proposes the analysis of the performance of an induction motor when the same is connected to a PWM inverter, using a new mathematical model proposed by L.M. Neto et al. (1999), developed to consider the effects of the magnetic saturation. The model of the motor was implemented in the SABER(R) simulator, as well as an inverter model and supplier model. This group allowed the accomplishment of dynamic analyses in the time domain. Experimental tests show that the model represents with reasonable precision the effects of the saturation of the motor.
