Results: At the end of the research, seven articles were obtained, which described how the spiritual approach is increasingly valued in health work. All studies verified how interesting and important the subject is for the improvement of nursing practice. When analyzing the studies, it was seen that all described that spirituality contributes considerably to coping with cancer, both in the quality of treatment of cancer patients and in the performance of the nursing team during this palliative care process.
