Abstract

In this paper, a two machine three bus power system network is considered initially. This is simulated in Phasor simulation method. Power and voltage outputs are initially considered. The system is then subjected to 3 phase and single phase to ground fault. The system shows unstable operation, after the application of faults A STATCOM is then connected and improvement in system performance is noted.
