Proposal for Secure Electronic Medicine Notebook System and Performance Evaluation of the Blockchain Network on this System

Abstract

Medicine notebook is used to keep a record of medication history as part of the personal health information management in Japan. An electronic medicine notebook system has many benefits compared to the paper notebook, but it requires high security. In this paper, a novel secure electronic medicine notebook system is proposed. Records of users' access to patients' personal information and medicine history are stored by use of blockchain. Hyperledger Fabric is used to implement the blockchain network of the proposed system, and the performance of it is measured by experiments.
