Abstract

The paper addresses the second order metrics of mobile amplify-and-forward (AF) relying systems with two or more sections in general non-identical alpha-mu (α-μ) multipath fading environment. The received signal envelopes at the output of AF relay systems are modeled as multiple alpha-mu processes. The method has been developed for obtaining closed form expressions for average level crossing rate (aLCR) by applying Laplace approximation formula for more-folded integrals. Numerical results are presented and thoroughly explained considering various channel model parameters.
