Abstract

In this article, the authors carried out the topology of optimizing the axle shaft of the front drive axle URAL-4320 according to the minimum mass criterion. Calculations make it possible to reduce the mass of a part with suitable strength characteristics, while using new technological equipment, new tools and equipment for the production of this part. With the results obtained, the introduction of a new optimized part into production will not incur additional costs, but at the same time it will reduce the weight of the entire vehicle, which in turn will affect its cross-country ability, speed, and fuel consumption.
