Switching section functional architecture and frame/bursts format of the italian coverage italsat satellite

Abstract

This paper discusses and explains the general architectural block diagram of the ITALSAT switching baseband subsystem analyzing the various functions performed in it. It is based upon the studies and developments performed by TELESPAZIO and SELENIA SPAZIO under CNR/PSN contracts.
