Simulation results shows that the signal quality is improved and mean square error is considerably reduced using this approach. Abstract

In digital image processing various filters are provided to enhance the quality of image. Visibility of some parts in images are enhanced while suppressing the information in some parts of it. Fei Kou et al had found that L0 norm is a useful mathematical formula to enhance the quality of the image by amplifying the edges present in the detail layer. However in this the problem of suppressing the desired information is not taken into account.
