Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate core stability training on hip joint abduction strength, dynamic postural control and low-extremity injury index in Teakwoon-demo player. Twenty four collgeiate Taekwoondo athletes were divided into two groups, either core stability training(Teakwoon-demo(EX), n=12, Taekwoon Poomsae, n=12). The Ex groups completed ther core stability training program 8 week, 3 times a week and for 60 minutes but control group conductes routine training. As a result of the study, Ex groups was right hip abduction muscle strength had a significant effect in time and interaction and dynamic posture control (Y-balance test) showed a significant effect in postero-lateral and postero-medial stretching. In addition, there was no concern about injury as the difference between the left and right sides of the lower-extremity injury criteria was not significant. Conclusionly, A consecutive 8 week core stability training program improved core muscle strength, dynamic postural control ability and reduced the lower-extremity injury.
