Abstract

The analysis of electromagnetic compatibility problems in radio electronic systems also involves the study of the distribution of the electromagnetic field generated by the antenna system of the device in the far-field area. Having a solid critical overview of the current research on the topic as a starting point, this article presents, in a synthetic, coherent and accessible manner, the procedure for the mathematical modelling of the electromagnetic field radiated in the far-field zone by a pyramidal horn antenna. The second part of the article presents the numerical and graphical results obtained by modelling the procedure described above by means of computer-assisted modelling.
