Probabilistic Modeling of Traffic Flows through Signalized Intersection with Branching Routes

Abstract

A probabilistic model of traffic at a signalized intersection with branching routes is proposed, that is built in the form of a hybrid dynamic system and takes into account the scatter of static and dynamic parameters and driving of individual cars as well as the stochastic nature of the choice of the direction of passage of the intersection. The model can serve as a tool for forecasting and managing the traffic situation.
