Sliiv - prototype design for a wearable musical interface

Abstract

In this proposal, we present the prototype for an artefact, the fruit of a multidisciplinary creation based on the convergence of fashion design, interface design, media art and music. With artistic and experimental purposes, this artefact explores the performative, sensorial/tactile characteristics of fashion, to which it adds the development of a musical interface integrated into the fabric of a garment. These wearable garments have incorporated an interface that allows music creation through touch in some areas of the garment.
