Abstract

Reconfigurable Computing (RC) is a technology that attempts to increase computational power by customizing the computational platform to the specific problem at hand. This approach is favorable for handling problems like radiosity distribution computation, which consist of a fine granularity of parallel floating point multiplications. We have performed a feasibility study on using reconfigurable hardware for interactive radiosity distribution computation.
