Abstract

The LEO satellites with small inclination have unique advantages in astronomical observation, remote sensing, surveillance and other fields. However, because of its low altitude and small inclination, the target visibility of observatories in high latitude area becomes a problem. With the increasing number of LEO satellites with small inclination, in order to meet the application requirements such as satellites collision warning and on-orbit fault analysis, it is necessary to carry out objects observation by ground-based optical telescopes. In this paper, the orbit distribution of space objects was analyzed, then the observation method and the requirements for optical telescope were proposed, simulation analysis were used to verify the feasibility of the proposed method.
