Abstract

To evaluate the performance of OLAP engines, adapted benchmarks have been developed in the industry. In this paper, we propose a multidimensional model with cube structure for data analytic system benchmarking based on TPC-DS. A number of analytic operations corresponding with SQL templates are given with MDX forms. Finally, we demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed model on big data stores by experiments of SQL and MDX queries on relational DBMSs and NoSQL databases.
