Abstract
In many developing countries, there is both a tremendous demand for the provision of communication services and a lack of infrastructure which may be used to connect the potential users to the network. Developing the infrastructure is extremely expensive and time consuming. The wireless local loop system is a natural solution since it provides the infrastructure in a fraction of the time at a fraction of the cost. Many of the wireless systems on the market today are based on the TDMA concept. We examine the performance of several different allocation algorithms including a semi-fixed algorithm and transfer algorithms.
