Abstract

This paper gives a summary in regard to DC and DC-DC converters and includes the types of converters used in several applications such as Power Factor Correction (PFC), industrial, motor drives and renewable energy system. Nowadays Bridgeless Boost Power Factor Correction Rectifiers and resonant converters are widely proposed, simulations are done and prototypes are developed for these kinds of applications. According to that the converters are analyzed, compared and tabulated.
