Abstract

The increasing consumption of resources with simultaneously low energy efficiency of production of products, determines the relevance of issues of production of products with minimal energy costs. The article presents the competitive advantages of pipe products made of composite materials in comparison with steel products, and estimates the energy costs of pipe production. As an alternative estimate of possible energy costs for the production of pipe products, the energy costs for the production of continuous basalt fiber are considered.
