Abstract

Wait times are driven in large part by unequal distribution of specialists and “traditional” referral patterns . We are working to address inequities in access and help reduce wait times for specialized care by working with our partners to optimize provincial investments and disrupt referral patterns . As part of OTN’s mandate to improve access to specialized care, OTN undertakes a number of specific initiatives to increase the use of virtual care among specialists .
